Sales Education and Training

SALES EDUCATION AND TRAINING

NOTHING HAPPENS IN THE BUSINESS WORLD UNTIL THERE IS A SALE!

It does not matter if you are a furniture salesman, an inside sales person for a vitamin company, a doctor or a lawyer, sales is probably the most important technique a person should learn if they are going to be successful.  While many people in the professions, such as doctors and lawyers do not want to think of themselves as asles people, if they do not get new patients or clients, they are out of business. Encore has had extensive experience working with many different types of organizations to help their people become more effective salespeople. Our work in the sales space involves two very distinct aspect of selling; sales education and sales training.

  •    SALES EDUCATION       -    Most organizations confuse sales education and sales training, thinking they provide sales training to their peoplewhenthey are really only providing sales education. Sales education is simply to process of providing information to personnel involved in the selling process that will help them present the products or services more effectively to the customers.  It can also include documents on such important selling functions as handling objections and closing a sale.

  •   SALES TRAINING.  - This is a process whereby a senior sales person would actually observe another individual during the sales process for the purpose of providing constructive criticism relative to the selling techniques of the other person.  In the ideal world, sales training should begin with the trainer conducting the sale to demonstrate how the process should happen, and then using that demonstration as an example when following up with the person being trained

Encore has worked with many organizations to help them design sales improvement programs that incorporate the correct mix of sales education and sales training.
